How a 16-year-old tabby overcame pancreatitis, regained all the weight lost and fully recovered in less than 90 days without harsh medications.

I have developed this recipe after personally going through a terrible month with my own soul-cat, Pardino, when he came down with his first incident of pancreatitis. It was the very first time I personally faced this issue, and it caught me by surprise.

Pardino at first started having low appetite for a few days, then one day he completely refused to eat. I know him extremely well, and I knew something was wrong. I got in touch with the vet, who advised to wait. I received the same advice for days, while I feared that Pardino could get hepatic lipidosis (because he was not eating at all) and while the vet was trying to get hold of drugs she would need to use for my cat. I could not admit my cat to a 24h emergency service as we do not have one where I live, and I was witnessing Pardino losing more weight and feeling worse by the day, until we went through a weekend that I would not wish on anyone. I made sure I monitored Pardino’s drinking through that week, but on the Saturday, he felt too nauseous to even drink therefore I started keeping to a schedule of water by mouth, by syringe, every 30 minutes. I added electrolytes to his water and ran a few urinalyses at home (as I have the kit and equipment), but it was clear that he needed intensive care and fast. The vets were closed until Monday and obtaining Sub-Q fluids was impossible. I barely slept that weekend, and I was worried sick.

Pardino was finally admitted at the vets on Monday morning, and we took him there every day that week for IV fluids and intensive care, bringing him home every evening where I was providing him with home-care through the night.

Looking back.. It took way too long to put proper care in place, and initially I did not know what exactly caused my cat to suddenly not want to eat, I started suspecting pancreatitis just after running a few urinalyses at home as his values were not as usual and indicated that his blood sugar was not regulated as well as normal.

I finally was left 1 week later with a clear, confirmed diagnosis of pancreatitis, a cat who was out of danger, but also a cat who was still weak, still not keen to eat anything, and needed to put 1/5 of his weight back on.

I rolled up my sleeves and I used my knowledge of holistic remedies and nutrition to formulate a plan. I was determined to succeed.

The Super Recovery Blend was created and tweaked until everything was running smoothly, after running it by the vet for complete approval. I monitored my cat and used the pet-scale daily to make sure we were going in the right direction, not too fast and not too slow, and Pardino re-gained all the weight he needed to put back on across 2 months. He started wanting to eat on his own after a few days of starting this protocol, and I kept him on the Super Recovery Blend ever since, adapting the quantity to a maintenance amount. Pardino is very good with syringe-feeding, I trained him for “acknowledged care” and he is ok with his daily dose of fortified nutrition, which now acts as a support therapy, beyond recovery.

We touched a few very low points when my cat was ill. It was awful.

The vet could not believe how strong and healthy Pardino returned to be, after only 2 months.

All I want is for you to be able to provide the home-care your cats need so that they too can recover and feel better ā¯¤
